Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on wire racks.
Notes
Use room-temperature ingredients for even mixing. For a variation on temperature control, chill the dough for 30 minutes. Remove cookies when edges set but centers still look soft.
