Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 large potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the onion until translucent.
- Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Layer the sliced potatoes in a large baking dish.
- Spread the cooked beef and onion mixture over the potatoes.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
