Ingredients
- 20 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Start by preparing the steak. Season it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Remove the steak and let it rest.
- In the same skillet, add 4 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and 3/4 cup of whole milk. Stir continuously as it begins to simmer.
- Gradually add 1 1/4 cups of parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts and combines.
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and add to the creamy sauce along with the sliced steak.
- Toss everything together gently, allowing it to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper if desired.
Notes
