Description

Delightful gluten-free apple fritters with a perfect blend of sweet apples and warm spices, easy to make in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups gluten-free flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 large apples
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Juice of 1/2 regular lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for five minutes.
  2. Peel, clean, and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Combine the chopped apples with lemon juice and melted butter.
  4. In a large bowl, mix gluten-free flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin spice.
  5. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Fold in the apple mixture and then combine with dry ingredients, adding milk if necessary.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the air fryer basket, spaced adequately.
  8. Spray the tops lightly with coconut oil.
  9. Air fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  10. Cool before glazing if desired.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the batter for light and fluffy fritters. Experiment with spices or fruits for variations.
