Description

A cozy and comforting one-pan dish featuring creamy orzo pasta, savory chicken sausage, and vibrant broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 chicken sausages, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the orzo and chicken broth, bringing it to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, reduce heat to a simmer and add the broccoli florets.
  6. Cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the parmesan cheese.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.

Notes

For a creamier texture, adjust the amount of chicken broth. This dish stores well in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and can be frozen for 2-3 months.
