Description

Delightful Crab Rangoon with creamy crab filling wrapped in crispy wontons, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cube Kraft Philadelphia Regular Cream Cheese (room temperature)
  • 2 oz. (60g) crab meat (or 2 sticks imitation crab meat, finely diced)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • Oil (for deep frying)

Instructions

  1. Begin by mixing the softened cream cheese, crab meat, powdered sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Stir the mixture thoroughly to blend well.
  3. Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese filling in the center.
  4. Dab some water on the outer edges of the wrapper and fold the two ends together.
  5. Fold the other two ends to form a tiny parcel and pinch tightly to seal, ensuring no leaks.
  6. Heat the oil in a pot for deep-frying.
  7. Fry the rangoons until they are golden brown.
  8. Use a strainer or slotted spoon to dish them out and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. Let them cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, test a small piece before frying to gauge oil temperature. Consider variations like adding sriracha or baking as a healthier option.
