Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook until they start to soften, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in the smoked sausage and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Mix together the ranch seasoning, milk, and half of the cheese in a bowl.
- Pour the cheese mixture over the potatoes and sausage, and stir to combine.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the potatoes are tender.
- Garnish with green onions if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Check for the tenderness of the potatoes before removing from the oven. For best texture, reheating in the oven is recommended.
