A warm and comforting casserole that combines ground beef, potatoes, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for families.
Ingredients
- 4 cups potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Layer half of the potatoes in a greased casserole dish. Top with half of the beef mixture. Pour half of the soup mixture over the top. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
To enhance the casserole, add sautéed vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms. Season each layer for maximum flavor.
