Description

A quick and nutritious taco bowl featuring ground turkey, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • ⅓ cup Water or chicken broth
  • 1 packet Siete spicy taco seasoning
  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • ½ tbsp Oil
  • 1½ Lime juice
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Avocado slices or spicy guacamole
  • Lettuce
  • Red onions
  • Tomato


Instructions

  1. Cook the Jasmine rice in a pot with 2 cups of water and ½ tablespoon of oil. Bring to a boil, then reduce and simmer until absorbed.
  2. Add lime juice and chopped cilantro to the rice when done.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned.
  4. Pour in water (or chicken broth) and stir in the taco seasoning. Allow it to simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Assemble bowls with a base of cilantro lime rice, topped with seasoned ground turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions.

Notes

Experiment with taco seasoning or add vegetables like bell peppers during cooking for added flavor.
