Description
A handheld comfort-food mashup combining seasoned beef, smoky bacon, and gooey mac and cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla.
Ingredients
- 450 g ground beef
- 120 g cooked bacon, crumbled
- 230 g macaroni, cooked and drained
- 115 g cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Lettuce leaves, as desired
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Break the meat into small pieces as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper, then drain excess fat.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in crumbled bacon, cooked macaroni, and shredded cheddar until everything is melted and combined.
- Warm tortillas briefly in a dry skillet or microwave to make them flexible.
- Lay a lettuce leaf on each tortilla. Spoon the beef and macaroni mixture down the center of each tortilla.
- Fold the bottom up and roll tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, swap flour tortillas for large lettuce leaves or gluten-free wraps. Optional variations include spicy, BBQ bacon mac, and breakfast wraps.
